This attractive Borgo represents a unique opportunity to acquire a property in a beautifully restored hamlet in the stunning nature reserve area of Pian di Spagna in Colico, Lake Como.

The hamlet consists of four historic buildings which have been redeveloped into a collection of nine stylish apartments each with its own private entrance and garden or terrace as well as access to a communal swimming pool.

The buildings date back to the early 1900s and were restored in 2009/2010. Fort Fuentes was built in 1603 on the order of Count Fuentes who was the then governor of Milan. It was built as a defense against France and Switzerland who occupied Valtellina at that time. A beautiful fresco which was in the fort has been relocated to the parish church of San Giorgio in the town centre.
