Pianello Del Lario is situated 46KM from Como and has a population of just over 1000 inhabitants. It rises 213 meters above sea level. Its position on the lake is a windy one and so the area has become synonymous with water-sports enthusiasts particularly wind and kite surfing. The marina at Pianell is host to the watersports schools and it is also possible to rent a berth anually from the local council, should one with to keep a boat in the area.
